Call for Pianoteq LV2-presets

Sorry for my infinite ignorance… could you explain to me in words that are proof against the absolute ignorance of how to use the LV2 (and maybe explain to me in a few words what the difference is). On my Zynthian the LV2 writing is grey and I don’t know where to activate it on Webconf. I use a self-built Zynthian with Oram… Thanks

Maybe with a few words that are Google Translate-proof…my school English dates back a century…

We removed the LV2 (duplicate) version of various engines in Oram, including Pianoteq . You now only have the native version available.

So now there is no way to have two Pianoteq instruments on the same snapshot? Thanks @riban

That is correct. There is an issue raised in the tracker requesting thie be changed.

I just saw that the LV2 line is no longer visible on Oram… I apologize, I’ve only been using it for a few days…

I have a licensed version of Pianoteq7Stage installed. There are no presets. Do I need to manually generate them, or is there a repo somewhere?

If you are using Oram (or Vangelis) version of zynthian and installed Pianoteq using the webconf installation process and registered using the webconf registration process then you should have a working installation, including all the default presets. There should be no further action required.

hmm … I am using Vangellis. I’m not sure what binary I’m meant to upload. I’ve downloaded the arm64 for linux from Modartt. It comes as a compressed file. I expand that:

~/Downloads/Pianoteq 7 STAGE/arm-64bit % ls -laR

I’ve tried uploading the .so file … nothing … I’ve tried uploading the root/Pianoteq 7 STAGE… nothing…

You MUST use the webconf tool. Remove any file you installed manually.

You upload the compressed file using webconf. It does all the magic. Don’t make life hard - it is easy man!

Hehe … well … I’m not sure what I’ve done. I removed the Pianoteq 7 files that I’d installed… and tried uploading the "Pianoteq Stage v754 Linux.7z” file. And …

Pianoteq Stage 8 still shows in the engines after an engine search. And this is all that’s in the /zynthian/zynthian-data/pianoteq directory.

Ok … I checked the source code… and manually scp’d the pianoteq 7 archive to zynthian… and ran the install recipe. That worked. kind of…

but PT7 doesn’t show as an engine… only PT8.

That being said… Pianoteq 7 is now working perfectly… so… I guess it’s all awesome. Thanks again for the assistance.

It sounds like it was working after normal installation but was simply labelled wrong. We can look at that.
