Great news !
I do not know really modular synth, but I installed Cardinal on Rpi4 Debian for a project and I use it with a little screen, mic for sample and granular effects with BCF2000 to drive a lot of parameters.
So great news to use it on Zynthian…

On Rpi5 Cardinal is very powerful and can be used as a synth but also as an effect processor, it has very beautiful effects and sound processors, even for guitar, voice, synth or other acoustic/analog instruments. It has many parameters so it is necessary to have labels on them. At the beginning I was thinking about using a BCF2000 along with a cardboard stencil with params names printed on top… but I ended up with this more practical solution

I am not aware with plugins.
I access my zynthian with FilleZilla, so i can do a lot.

Hi, you need to download the latest Cardinal-linux-aarch64 release from Releases · DISTRHO/Cardinal · GitHub
Then, for Oram OS (latest version), you go to /zynthian/zynthian-plugins/lv2 (with sftp or ssh) and copy CardinalFX.lv2 and CardinalSynth.lv2
Then you go to http://zynthian.local/sw-engines and click Search For Engines and enable (check) Cardinal Synth and Cardinal FX.
Then follow the instructions on my webapp to install the plugin wrapper (click HELP).
