I did an update just now (Oram Staging) after having done one a few days ago and the behaviour is different. Just checking to see if this is expected behaviour…
In the past at the end of an update I’d get a mesage to the effect that the update is complete and the system is restarting. Now the update ends with “…/CG-Pd-Library-Local/sequencer/5page-system.pd | 336 +”. The system does restart and everything seems to be OK but just checking that this is expected.

the update log seems incompleta, i would update again.
Ok - so after power-off on the machine where the update did not complete it will not reboot. I’ll burn a new image. I tried to update a second Zynthian (PI-5/Oram staging) and on this machine the update froze with “…/sampling/waveplayer~.pd_linux | Bin 0 → 21976 bytes”. Odd that there is the same sort of behaviour on two identical (except maybe for SD size) machines. BTW the second machine still seem to be running OK but I expect it will not boot after next power-off.

It looks like the downloading of the organalle patches is being truncated. Perhaps your connection is not stable.

I don’t want to beat this into the ground but eventually both machines rebooted and appear to be running normally. I tried updating both machines and the report was basically nothing needed updating even though both previous updates had apparently failed to complete. Is there anyway to verify that the software state of the machine is “current” or is that guaranteed by the fact that update does not detect anything that needs updating? Just curious…
