the current soundfont collection has been collected and maintained “by hand”.

I don’t know how it’s done, but I assume the image is build on @jofemodo’s local machine. So having it on a publically available repository can be seen as the goal of the undertake above.

So, we need to get forward, and still there are several design choices so solve.

Just for the sake of completeness: In fact there is a connection in the zynthian repository to the factory soundfont library: But it seem to only beeing used to add one file to the otherwise static content which comes with the image. If it would be synced via any github repository, this would certainly be the place.
