For Ableton Move there is the alternative firmware [https://schwung.dev/](https://schwung.dev/) which is just incredible. A couple of clicks, anI have all the softwaresynth of my dreams.

I want this for Zynthian, too, please!

Could you just provide a compatibilty layer or something to let us profit from Schwung’s ecoysystem?

There is a discussion of this in:

> [@Schwung for Ableton Move](https://discourse.zynthian.org/t/schwung-for-ableton-move/13178):
>
> Youtuber AudioPilz recently published a video about an alternative OS/Framework for the Ableton Move, called Schwung [[Move got HACKED!!!] ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBUZywjjl78) In some ways it’s a similar concept to Zynthian, in that it is a framework which allows Move to run various open source synths, including Dexed, Osiris and OB-Xd. Of course, there are conceptual differences too, the Move doesn’t have a large graphic display, but on the other hand it has 4 x 16 pads and a row of knobs. Hardware-wise, apparently …

It doesn’t seem likely soon.

Too sad! Schwung just works. With the last Zynthian Vsngelis update, my Zynthian V5 refuses to boot again (happens after every second update). I am frustrated! I do not want to study Linux to get it to run - and to install cool stuff.

Do you have Schwung? I’d like to hear more about your experiences with it if so.

I have Schwung on my Abelton Move. It is super-easy to install and it is super-easy to install software plugins and update them. I’d like to have the same experience with Zynthian!

Hi @mager33 !

I update my zynthian V5 everyday, sometimes twice or more times and never has an issue. It always boot after every update.

My tricks:

- Good SD cards. Sandisk ultra / extreme
- Good and stable power. A power cut while updating could be fatal.
- Good wired network connection
- Never use WIFI!
- Avoid updating from the zynthian UI. I always check the update logs from Webconf or terminal

Could you describe the procedure you follow to update your zynthian? Perhaps we could avoid you have more issues in the future …

Regards
