> After many frustrating days with Oram I once again started from scatch today on Vangelis. Right away I noticed that it seems Midi chains can no longer be routed to instrument chains: only other Midi chains show up as possible Midi Outputs.
> This is an essential feature for me, and Router Feedback won’t do.

> My specific use case: I have a two keyboard setup with a regular M-Audio controller and a Roli Seaboard. I need to be able to route just the notes (off/on, velocity, but also including cc-74, pedal, aftertouch and pitch bend) of each separately from their Midi cc-controllers. I used to have four separate Midi chains for the inputs, which could then be routed selectively (and sometimes processed by Midi cc mapping, velocity adjust, keysplit…) to the various instrument chains; that routing could then be stored in ZS3s.

> Is there a way to get that functionality in Vangelis?

The same functionality exists in Vangelis.

- Enter a chain’s “Chain Options” menu.
- Use Left/Right arrow buttons or knob 3 to select the “MIDI Output” block.
- Toggle the chains you wish the chain to feed.

Thanks, Riban! I finally found out what happened: What you describe works for instrument chains that only use one Midi channel. But MPE instrument chains (i.e. “all MIDI channels”) don’t show up. Is this expected behavior?

Any news on this? Is this a bug?

Please, explain what you do, step by step and what you expect.
