Multiply note volume

Hello,
I’m using a Yamaha DX7 as a midi keyboard with my Zynthian.

Being one of the first MIDI keyboards, the DX7 has a well known gotcha in that it outputs note volumes (velocity?) in the range 0-100, while most devices expect it to be in the range 0-127. This results in it not being possible to hit hard notes.

Is there some way to make my zynthian multiply the note volumes coming in by 1.27 to get the full range?

You should give MIDI Velocity Adjust a try (inside MOD-UI).

Perhaps it’s time to allow loading/routing these MIDI-tools with the Jalv engine too :wink:
