Mutated Sequences is an 8-step MIDI rhythm sequencer designed for creating complex, evolving patterns. It combines traditional step sequencing with generative features.

Key Features

  • 8-step sequencer with individual pitch, velocity, probability, and ratchet controls per step
  • 30 rhythm patterns including general, drum-focused, and melodic/synth patterns
  • Ratchet system (1-8 retriggering per step) for rapid-fire notes
  • Generative controls: Mutate, probability, velocity modes, pitch modes
  • Musical timing: Swing, humanization, multiple clock divisions
  • Pattern tweaker: 0-100 parameter that modifies pattern behavior

Tested with Fabla and working quite well. The Host Tempo option activates it to run with the zynthian sequencer transport controls, fyi.

Now I just need to figure out how to get it to show up under Sequencers instead of other in MIDI.

Ohhh jejeje! This is a party maker, mate! Very fun!

The LV2 definition doesn’t have a specific plugin class for sequencers, but i will move it to the zynthian’s sequencer category by hand.

Thanks. I’m having fun with it too. If you dig in you can do some cool stuff as far as keeping a rhythm evolving.
