I think A.I. is awesome…but not to the point of taking part in Art. Then in a few years I will be proven wrong…but for now…

We often forget that this entire chatGPT-like class of generative AI is based on large language models. It doesn’t really learn or understand things the way you would expect a human to. So it is a kind of probabilistic random selection into a huge matrix where the gigantic dataset has been organized, based on the keywords it extracts from our given prompts. Hence the hallucination and errors. I agree that it can hardly be art, even if it often seems that way.
