Raspberry Pi 5 4GB is faster than the 8GB version

As wirtten somewhere else, I’m more into electronics than into software, so I can not say and I have no clue of what to look for on the filesystem.

What tool are you using to look at the transmission? I’m interested in using it, particularly if it runs on a Pi.

One of these in a friend’s lab. Definitely not runs on Pi. and definitely not for the garage/bedroom lab.

It was always a pleasure to be allowed to play with the Rohde & Schwarz kit when I worked at BBC… but it tended to be kept locked away and only brought out for special tasks. It is excellent kit but you should take a seat before hearing the price.

Well, I’m still glad I asked, it was interesting to look at the Rohde & Schwarz range. Probably not what I’ll be using though.

The thing with Wifi when it comes to Zynthian is that since the RPi is inside a metal box, I would think that provides quite a bit of screening, compared to the ordinary plastic boxes which are commonly used for RPi:s, degrading Wifi performance since the antenna on the RPi board is essentially operating inside a Faraday’s Cage. Or am I missing something here?

No, you’re not missing something, that’s quite true. One of the advantages of the Compute Module is it let’s you connect an external antenna to deal with enclosing your Pi in a metal box.

Thanks for this info. So I imagine one VA synth plugin, a couple of effects and maybe a sampled drum kit will run fine? I’m not particularly one for using synths multitimbrally really.
