Also, I see warnings about not doing a “normal” Debian update/upgrade to keep the OS up-to-date. Does this apply?

It does peculiar damage that takes a while to trace . . .

Apt-get upgrade killed my UI! (lilv_world_load_bundle(): )

In playing around with duo piano’s and such like I did an update/ upgrade on a zynth. . . . Not a happy zynth. RIP zynthian-steel.local Time to burn a new SSD. . . .
