More fun from across the world - Austraila to USA with all points in between… well some fools in the UK. Not only were socks mentioned but also…

- [Tiny power relays](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007431283793.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.3c7a18024oZaQC) with home integration, hardwired switch terminals and RF remote to control kitchen lights for a few quid, from AliExpress - the new Poundland.
- What do you do when you can’t play your instrument due to failing health or chaning body? Read poetry whilst others play.
- Talking of poetry and oldies… [Flanders and Swann](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flanders_and_Swann) are diceptively tricky to play.
- [YAML](https://learnxinyminutes.com/yaml/#:~:text=YAML%20is%20a%20data%20serialisation,newlines%20and%20indentation%2C%20like%20Python) is JSON with a few benefits but the awkwardness of Python (damn spaces/tabs). Or you may prefer [TOML](https://toml.io/en/). Some of us just use ini.
- We envied Broc’s plans to see Alice Cooper, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden in the next couple of weeks, but serenaded him with Schools Out played on the shamisen.
- To disable Copilot in Windows 11, navigate to Settings \> Personalization \> Taskbar and toggle the Copilot switch to the “Off” position… but there is no escaping the new, demon Clippy.
- Further development of the clip launcher was demonstrated including waveform display with cropping (not fully working yet) and ability to send Program Change to change ZS3 (which wasn’t tested but proved to work well). You see the bleeding edge (with all the blood) if you attend.
- There is such a thing as too many keyboards ([accordians](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2nx0wel7zo)).
- Poland is portrayed as bleak in many films like Treasure staring Stephen Fry (based on writting by an Australian Pole) and A Real Pain starring Kieran Culkin and Jessie Eisenberg
- AI is not intelligent… [yet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79-bApI3GIU) or [now](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC46CzxT750) but [soon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYL4PHZzp-k).
- Bromelia is a plant, not a person.
- The [Mini](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini) is muched loved (especially in the UK) by many. Even thoses who never owned one have a soft heart for this venerable british car.
- Our inteligent tracker shows sales of [Magical Parade](https://shimanoreh.bandcamp.com/album/magical-parade) have flattened out but you still have an opportunity to purchase a copy with the artist planning a return to his sold-out performance at a railway station departures board near you…

And that wasn’t the half of it. You can’t know what you missed unless you attend… but then you will know what you didn’t miss - it is a conundrum. Until next time, pop-pickers.

We are quite flexible on timing usually until we get a quorum. Take that as a first offer and make a counter suggestion. We usually try to aim for 1900 UTC as a happy medium between our differing timezones from EU/UK to USA to AU.
