Zynthian custom build RPi 2 error screen

Hello,

i’m trying to get working an old RPI2 with 3.5 pi screen.
Screen is working byt i get an error with the ip address. I checked al lot in the forum but i didn’t find anithing working.

and the log:

Hi, welcome
This error occurs when jack sound serveur doesn’t start. They where some troubles with the raspi builtin headphone. And I think some fixes has bien done.
Try to update your zynthian software through the webconf and restart.

And if error persist, restart zynthian ui from the webconf in debug mode and send the output here.

Thank you but already did update. Even if I choose Dummy audio I get the same error.

You may struggle to get this working with RPi2. I am pretty sure we stopped supporting it some time ago.

I didn’t noticed that you are using a rpi v2.
I do not own such a device and maybe, you’ll have to struggle a bit to get it work as said above.

There’s a console acces wrapper in the webconf, what’s the output if you type “aplay -l” in it ?

I’ll get an RPI 4 soon so i’ll use the RPi2 for mt32 emulator. I hope i’ll get less problems with an rpi4 with Zynthian.

Do you mean this one? GitHub - dwhinham/mt32-pi: 🎹🎶 A baremetal kernel that turns your Raspberry Pi 3 or later into a Roland MT-32 emulator and SoundFont synthesizer based on Circle, Munt, and FluidSynth.

Edit: If you want to have a go then I think minisynth will be great on the pi 2. It’s a pain to cross-compile though so give me a shout if you get stuck.

yes, already done with a i2s cheap 51xx dac and oled screen.
It works well for old dos game with midi compatibility and so.
You can also play with a midi keyboard but with the limited polyphony of an mt32 (don’t ask for 256 voices with a rpi2).
