A kind of surface control

This is a kickstarter project for a macro pad of 4x5 swithces + 2 rotary encoders.

Idea is pretty cool with it"s little Oled display, wich shows what are the functions of the keys used for for each keyboard profile (with up to 64 of them).
It use a dedicated firmware, “Duckyscript”, wich unfortunately doesn’t seems to implment MIDI messages.

It’d be almost perfect if it had 4 rotary encoders.

It looks like a poor-man’s Stream Deck. I don’t like the separation of buttons from their ledgends, i.e. having the physical buttons and separate display showing what they do. I would prefer small display next to each button but that pushes the price up towards the far more intuitive Stream Deck with its buttons with built-in display.

And if you sum up the price of all the components not included in the “base config”, it is not that much cheaper either. The “base config” is like a car without seats, steering wheel, wheels, …
