Well I got over five hours of life out of a 4Amp battery but was a little concerned about short circuit risks with all that juice arond, so I invested in a couple of car based in line fuses and some 5Amp 1/14" fuses and with the copious use of too much heat shrink produced something that should protect fom most eventualities.
Hate the connectors but this is how life is lived at this level.
I also paired it all up with a small Class D Amp that will accept 12-24V so I now have a complete rig.
The noise is virtually non existant and the lack of mains reassures timourous classical players and allows operation in all kinds of wild and windy locations.

That’s an impressive journey. Pretty much settles me on using hall effect sensors!
Really do seem the best way to go.
