A simple way to extract headphones-level audio from Hifiberry DAC8X?

Hi good Zynthianers :slightly_smiling_face:

I was wondering if any of you has some useful knowledge, about how to get a headphones output signal from the new Hifiberry DAC8X for Raspi5.

The technical docs are close to absent, and I am waiting for an order later this month, serving for a bespoke Pi5 Zynthian which I am planning to try in fall-winter 2024/25.

As far as the scant information goes (no PCB drawings or list of features), it seems to be simply and straight a lovely (up to) 192 kHz DAC, with four balanced/stereo TRS outputs that amount to 8 mono channels, distributed across the surround field.

I would need, if any, a solution as easy as it gets, hopefully just connecting cables and maybe setting something in config txt (?), in order to extract somehow a headphones-level stereo signal, taken from the DAC8X hooked via GPIO and not from the basic built-in Raspi5 3.5 headphones output

I might be able to possibly embed some kind of preamplifier circuitry or component in the project, but only if the required soldering skills are almost zero or extremely easy to accomplish.

Thanks anyway!

Best wishes
