Acoustic piano + Zynthian?

Has anyone tried “hooking up” an acoustic piano to Zynthian? I mean more than just recording it. As a newbie here I guess Zynthian could do lots of live effects based on microphone inputs.

I happen to have my Zynthain set up around an acoustic piano. So what if I hang a microphone inside the piano itself? Could I do something fun with this arrangement? Can the piano trigger MIDI notes?

I like to play the piano at the same time as playing keyboard (Zynthian) through speakers sitting on top of the piano, but I guess feedback / surround could be a problem here.

Any experiences?

You can certainly use zynthian as an audio effect processor. There is also a monophonic audio to MIDI converter built in which is rather limited but can give some interesting effect.

I’ve put a zynth in a cajon with a couple of audio exciters mounted on the surfaces, and used reverb effects to considerable effect…

Very nice reverb addition that you can add or remove as seems fit.
Also used echo as well.

Here’s some details.

Ignore the wyleu style.
