People living in the UK: Be warned, I have just received an invoice from FedEX for £86.10 import duty/VAT. I thought that all changes were included in the kit price.
" We ship from Spain (European Union). If you are ordering from outside the European Union, be warned that import duties could be applied by your local border authorities. This is out of our control. They decide when to charge and how much to charge. It depends on the destination country and some “random” factors that we ignore."

if I’m not mistaken, my new Scarlett 2i2 sound card came from the UK… Italian customs called me to ask for my tax code and I was afraid… instead, no expense… strange.

It’s my own stupid mistake for not reading the terms and conditions. I do seem to have been charged VAT twice. Do Zynthian include VAT in its price?

It is fairly arbitrary.
I’ve order parts from hifberry of similar types and some have been charged and others not.
Certainly completely outside of the suppliers control.
