Weird. Optical mice certainly don’t like some surfaces like glass, but a sheet of paper is usually the solution.
It’s fairly shiny paper. My old and much loved i-Feel logitech mouse is worse than my more modern replacement…
Optical mouse best on dark (black) and mat surface.
