Hello again. I’m only into my third week of Zynthian usage and am still learning loads every day.
A lot of my exploration is with Zynpad and the arranger. I can see me using these features a LOT in the future. At present I still occasionally get mystified and frustrated. Especially with the Arranger.
I may well be missing the point of how the Arranger is supposed to work - but would it make sense for there to be a mode where the current pattern changes to the last pattern selected without having to go into the menu and set it manually every time? Of course this may not be a problem with official hardware. I am relying on a 7 inch touch screen together with a USB qwerty keyboard.
It is good to hear you are doing so much investigation. The Arranger view is supposed to be a kind of linear sequencer with the ability to lay in patterns for each sequence or even seperate tracks within a sequence to give a kind of multitrack linear sequencer. It is the least used sequencer module and hasn’t had the love and attention it deserves, hence there are many missing or poorly implemented features. (I am allowed to be critical - I wrote it!)
From a QWERTY keyboard with default keybinding you can use Ctrl+comma and Ctrl+period to change the pattern number. (Comma and period (full stop) are chosen because on my UK QWERTY keyboard they are the < > keys so kinda give left/right arrow nudge intention.)
