When my unit shuts the screen down when inactive playing a note results in pops and crackles before the first note starts. Can the screen timeout be disabled ? Perhaps waking it up with a note can not produce sound ? Maybe I should wake it up with a button press instead. I dont want to have to remember that during live performance.

You can set the powersave timeout delay in webconf INTERFACE-UI Options. At the top of the page is a parameter called, “Power-Save delay (minutes)”. This can be set to zero to disable powersave. This should be a workaround. We can look at why this is happening though.
