I’ve just been looking at that. It looks quite handy.
The source code is on sourceforge, so if someone wants to put in the (substantial) effort to integrate it they are welcome but I doubt @jofemodo or I have that amount of spare time! It looks like a massive undertaking.

Not sure if anyone is still interested, but I want to make something similar. I had in mind more portable, universal plugin, which could load e.g. Yamaha’s STY files or a new Zynthian custom format.
It seems a BackupBand is very desktop-centric and have hermetic configuration. For a new zynthian engine I’d prefer something that could load different styles, handle multiple MIDI channels (not only 3) so we can route to any other Zyn’s layer.
There is no ETA for MVP, but I will keep you notified. If it will be too time consuming I’d probably sync with Jeff and branch or extend his project.
