Battery question

When building my V5 last week, I took note of a holder for a CR2032 battery on the main board, but there is no reference in the assembly manual to actually inserting one. Even the pictures show the holder empty right up to the time the case halves are joined.

The unit works without battery, but does it provide any function?

I’m pretty sure it’s the battery backup for the real time clock chip.

Hi @imekon ! We had no time to integrate the RTC chip at the software level. Although it’s easy to configure, there are some details than must be considered and we are still thinking about it.
