Ok. it’s still on Buster so Stable is running 32 bit.
Yes, but just to be clear, I do not want to confuse you
Today I made it work on Buster.
But yesterday, when original issue appeared, I performed an update of 2022 Zynthian version.
After the issue appeared, I’ve burned https://os.zynthian.org/test/2024-02-20-zynthianos-bookworm-aarch64-oram-2402.zip
I got it from the issue Encoder switches False trigger in the latest Zynthian update · Issue #839 · zynthian/zynthian-issue-tracking · GitHub
which I think is a 64 bit version.
On this version I couldn’t save snapshots. Also couldn’t add sooperlooper.
Did an update. Still the same issues with snapshots and sooperlooper.
At this point I gave up and downloaded an image from Zynthian website.
Did an update. And it works now.
Also, I would like to add a note, that selecting Custom wiring and adding all the pins as on the screenshots above, none of the encoders and buttons worked…
So I picked MCP23017 Extra wiring layout, and it now works korrectly. All the encoders and buttons.
In my understanding Custom wiring should have worked as well.
Now I wanted to give some compliments on the 64 bit version.
It is snappy. Adding synth or audio chains is super quick.
But I’d rather wait untill snapshots and sooperlooper issues are resolved before mooving to that version.
Thanks again for all of your help!
Yes, a 64 bit stable would be an obvious jumping off point.
Or jumping on point???
