Correct input pinout Hifiberry DAC+ADC

Hi All,

I’m converting my V3 Zynthian to dual mono inputs, instead of a single stereo input and noticed that the wiring is possibly wrong.

I found this topic about HB changing the specification of HifiBerry DAC+ADC (not the Pro, the standard version) from balanced input to unbalanced input: New Official Kit V2+: Audio Input is here! - #23 by riban

Then I checked the datasheet of the product here: https://www.hifiberry.com/docs/data-sheets/datasheet-dac-adc

And to my understanding one should be using pins 1, 3 and 5 of P6 connector (respectively right+, GND, left+) to connect stereo in - and a I’m planning to have them separated by drilling a new hole in the case to install the additional jack.

Can anyone confirm that above is the correct connection, please?

Thanks in advance,
~ACO

PS: And, for instance, it seems that the original wiring is neither stereo nor balanced mono, it is simply the right channel connected.

Input connectors P6

This allows you to connect an alternative input connector.

1 right +

2 - (right - for the boards that were unbalanced)

3 GND

4 - (left - for the boards that were unbalanced)

5 left +

Output connector P5

This connector can be used to connect to external components, e.g. an amplifier. The output is connected in parallel to the RCA jacks. Pin 1 is on the top left.

+5V 1 2. R

GND 3 4 GND

+5V 5 6 L

This is from the HiFiBerry DAC+ ADC manual
