I’ve come across this wonderful tool called Aubio which can segment a sound file before each of its attacks, performing pitch detection, tapping the beat and producing midi streams from live audio.
I’ve thought it could be very nice for some use related to the sequencer.
I can see other uses, apart from zynthian, for real-time video effects associated with the produced midi stream.
