I’ve built two of these and they have worked well. About to build a third. I’m using the Waveshare 1024x600 setting and the Behringer UCA222 as a DAC. Have not been able to get the touch screen working but that’s not an issue for me as I prefer the mouse for navigation. Internal fan and fan cooler on the Pi5 keeps the internal temp at about 42C. Internal fan can be disabled if the small additional noise is objectionable. Using a specific USB C cable allows the internal USB port to be routed through one of the openings. Haven’t tried any of the ports except the ones on the Pi5 itself. I suspect they don’t do anything without additional cabling. For about $125 with current sale, it’s been perfect for my needs. YMMV.
