Is there an easy way to delay a played note?
My target is to use two ore more chains with the same midi channel. And when I play a note on my keyboard the first chain plays the note directly and the second chain plays after waiting 500 milliseconds or a beat or anything else.
Hopefully my description is understandable. Thanks for ideas and help.
Yes. There is a MIDI delay module in the MIDI tools collection that is just what you are looking for.
Regards
so much thanks . So easy and powerful
Hehe, I was afraid you would demand it .
I am just working on a new little live performance video with my amazing Zynthian V5.1 and Midicake Arp where the midi delay will be part of consecutively played sound fx along the song.
But this takes some time in preparing. Maybe a few days or weeks (I am not the youngest guy). I promise I will post it here.
It will never be a demand!!
Don’t be pressured by it. it’s works far more effectively as a technical confirmation that any requirement for open soul examination.
We’ve even fixed bugs from stuff people have presented and it’s always good to see someones zss to.
Anyone looking for how to do this will benefit and it also nails down quite how we exchange context within this community . . .
Lots of good reasons.
It’s just a couple of notes to demonstrate the delay really . . .
Otherwise I’ll have a go, and none of us really want to see that.
…and I’ve got rooks.
Playing a MIDI note against a single repeat MIDI tap Delay…
And far more interesting is the fact that SOMEBODY… has put a noise against using scrot to grab screen shots from the zynth…!!
This is the sort of playful idiocy this site thrives on!!
well actually it’s a characteristic of scrot. Bit like a camera click. . . .
I always end up learning something on here…
The committee are reviewing if submissions can be accepted on adjacent threads…
It doesn’t look hopeful. . .
Course if you threw in a screen shot of the mixer doing all that MimI-d stuff or a .zss if you are feeling really generous . . .
