Difficult to arm recording and play in pattern editor

Hi All,

I’m running into a few issues when trying to record playback from sync’d up midi devices.

  1. When I have the tempo synced to midi it’s difficult for me to start play / record in the pattern editor. When using internal clock/temp I usually just tap the “9” key to play and / or hold it to arm recording and it all works.

If I go to the sequencer screen I can push play on the channel, it will turn orange and it will play. It’s difficult for me to activate play & record within the pattern editor without jumping back and forth from different screens. It seems like I have to repetitively push 9 to get the pattern editor to play?. Is there some sort of feature I’m misusing or is this a bug?

  1. My midi devices are set to control different channels, but it seems like any midi device on any channel will drop down keys / notes when I’m recording in the pattern editor. Is this a feature or can I disable this somewhere. The pattern editor will record from devices that are not even activated as a midi input.
