Easiest way to support mono output

I have a fairly elaborate setup of 24 sub snapshots that I use with my band. Sometimes I can plug into a stereo input and sometimes only mono. I tried managing this by having a full copy of my stereo setup where every main output is set to only output to channel 1. However, it is difficult to keep up with the little fine tunings I need to make to my sub snapshots across both stereo and mono versions.

Is there a way to globally set the Zynthian to mono output? Or is it possible to configure it so that when you plug in only one cable into Output 1, it defaults to mono?

In main chain option menu, select audio parameters and enable mono output.

Hi @tkc !

You can configure mixer mode and audio output from the main chain’s option menu.
By default it’s selected stereo mode, like this:

Mono
Phase Reverse
M+S

and the audio output is sent to both channels like this:

Output1 (sndrpihifiberry1)
Output2 (sndrpihifiberry2)
Outputs 1+2 (stereo)

But you can configure Mono mode like this:

Mono
Phase Reverse
M+S

and send to a single output, like this:

[x ] Output1 (sndrpihifiberry1)
Output2 (sndrpihifiberry2)
Outputs 1+2 (stereo)

This will send a mono mix-down from the mixer to the output 1.

@riban probably would like to add more details about this

No, sorry, this is not currently implemented in the V5 mainboard, although it would be a good improvement

The best,
