Please, always use which Pi5 version and Os are you using in all of your posts.
Since Pi5 came out, old Pi4 libs do not work anymore, etc etc. So when searching also through
the forums for possible solutions to custom encoders, there is amounting conflicting discussions
that are very hard to filter out. From now on, please, always state your hardware. If it’s a Pi400 ok, we know it’s a Pi4, but don’t underestimate the importance of this simple info.
Add your current HW to the signature also is a very useful thing. (Or the name, thread title,anywhere…)
