Error when booting since new gorgona edge?

Hello fellas,

after installing the new gorgona edge image I can’t boot my zynthian anymore (error screen). Please help!

The problem seems to be related with your soundcard. It could be:

  • misconfigured
  • unconnected or badly connected
  • broken

First of all, power-off your zynthian, unplug all the USB devices and verify that your power source can supply 1.5-2 A of good quality DC-current (ALWAYS use a good power source!!).

Second, verify that the soundcard is well connected to the RBPi, also verify carefully the wiring. If you have changed some wire, you can cause conflict or short-circuit.

Third, power-on your zynthian and access the webconf tool. Verify that your configuration is correct:

  • Audio: HifiBerry DAC+
  • Display: PiTFT 2.8" (resistive)
  • Wiring: PROTOTYPE-4

Push “Save” button from “Display” or “Audio” tabs. This will regenerate the zynthian configuration and will reboot the device.

Fourth, test again to see if it works OK now. If not, please, login into your Zynthian Box and send the output from the next 3 commands:

# lsmod

# cat /boot/config.txt

ah! Somehow it switched my soundcard! I was actually using the audioinjector and now it was set to hifiberry :+1:
