EuroRack Zynthian Proof of Concept

Turns out to be relatively easy to fit a 5in display into 26hp. The simple hack shown here has stereo audio I/O, midi TRS I/O, usb c, usb A, and mc power button - no custom wiring. Power from a Pi supply in the rack - no actual connection to any of the EuroRack plumbing. I’ve got an 8 port usb-to-midi convrter next door so cv out is not a problem. Internally, it’s just a midi-to-usb converter and Behringer audio interface floating around in the rack mount chassis. I’ll add a hifiberry adc/dac to the pi stack when it arrives. Idealy something like the Pisound Micro would be supported so that all functions would be on the Pi. I have no need for knobs as I find the wireless mouse much easier to navigate with.

I also layed out a version with 7in screen but looks like that would need 36hp which is, in EuroRack land, a hefty piece of real estate.
