I assembled my 5.1 kit over the weekend and so far it is working great. Kudos to the Zynthian team for putting together such detailed instructions with many pictures, that really helped!
The only thing I am not able to get to work is the external SD card reader. I have double-checked the connections several times and made sure the cable’s card is fully inserted into the Raspberry Pi slot. No matter what I try, the card does not read from the external reader. I was thankfully able to get it to boot by putting the SD card directly into the RBPi, so I know that everything else is wired up correctly.
I imagine I must have a faulty cable, since everything else is running and the kit otherwise boots up with no issues. I’m hesitant to try putting the external cable back in, and also I imagine that it is probably more foolproof to have the SD card directly in the computer anyway (I rely on this unit for gigs where I don’t have a few minutes to wait for a reboot!). It would be nice to have the convenience of loading the card without opening the box, but how often will I want to open it anyhow?
Just wanted to know if other people experienced this same issue and if you had any suggestions.
