First Time Build -and- missing lite software link

Hi, I’m working on my first ever Zynthian build (I’m not really a hardware guy, either) and the “lite“ software link is missing?

Lite Version (reduced soundfont library):
https://os.zynthian.org/zynthianos-last-stable-nosfz.img.xz
The link here goes to a 404 page.

I purchased the 4GB raspberry pi, in the red box with the Zynthian itself.
Also, I purchased/already had a 32 GB micro SD card. I’m hoping the “Full version“ ZynthianOS will work within that setup.. So I’m asking about the lite version just in case.

I may add other questions to this thread, but I am going to move slowly and follow the manual. Thank you…

I see the link is not there on the web, so maybe @jofemodo is in the process of fixing it. FYI, you hardware will work equally well with the full or lite version. The only difference is that the full version includes more soundfonts and samples (many GB) and is recommended. The nosfz image is there to reduce the download time for the more impatient of us.

I use a 32GB micro SD card with the full version and it’s plenty big enough.

thanks for commenting both of you! I downloaded the full version. Continuing on with the build.

I’m close to the end of the build process. Definitely not going well. I’m at the near-end of the process where we are invited to turn the machine on. It will not turn on . :sob:

Sigh I guess I have to go out and buy a different SD card to see if that’s the issue? I have a Sandisk 32 GB , but OK. I’ve re-imaged the SD card, twice.

Sigh… I’m super frustrated and I am not a hardware guy! OK I’ll try tomorrow/once i find a small SD card for sale. (Folks love selling 128 GB now). Working on it, but I am not experienced enough to know where the fail occurred.

Have you tried removing your extra hardware, connecting a HDMI monitor, mouse and keyboard, and booting to zynthianOS.

Have you tried booting to RaspberryOS?
