Headless Zynthian + HiFiBerry DAC+ Missing MDA ePiano instrument

I’m beginner to zynthian and synthesizers in general.

I’ve started out with a headless Raspberry Pi 4b, aluminum heatsink w fan and HIFiBerry DAC+ with a vintage Axium 25 midi keyboard plugged in via powered usb hub to the pi.

I was spelunking through the pi UI when I connected hdmi monitor and was able to test out a few instrument chains and can hear sound. Great!

I logged in to pi through webconf app and toggled MDA ePiano in engines tab, rebooted but it doesn’t appear in my instrument list on pi. For that matter a lot of the enabled instruments in web app aren’t visible on pi.

Is there a config setting I’m missing? Is it because my audio board doesn’t support these instruments?

Here are some screen shots:

Yes, you’re missing that the instruments are divided into categories - I’m not sure what controls you have, you have to turn a different encoder to change categories.

Is there a way to toggle categories with a keyboard and mouse since I’m just running bare bones pi? lol I figured out with keyboard. Right arrow key to switch categories! Thanks!

You can use the mouse to do equivalent operations, I don’t know specifically how.
