at the risk of reporting more noise this time I was trying to control filter cutoff with the modwheel on the great obxd. The first parameter page entry for this plugin is called “midi controllers”, and it seems to be a permanent routing of CC1 (modwheel) to some vibrato that I dont see (or was too blind to see it) in the parameter set, so I suppose the plugin handles this internally. Still,
I unlearned CC1 on that first page by a bold press on the upper button and “unlearn CC1”. Works, modwheel no longer controls that vibrato
I went to filter page and learned cutoff - modwheel. Works prefectly
Saved a ZS3
Saved the snapshot as a new snapshot
Reloaded the snapshot
The Filter control by modwheel still worked, but
The vibrato modhweel control on the first parameter page was back active
This time I can send a recorded workflow if needed, please let me know. Again, I’m still discovering and maybe I missed that this first page is a feature that is controlled elsewhere? Is there a way to have this first-page controller permanently deactivated?
Please do.
It is a format we are keen to develop, and it’s posting also adds images to a thread.
if you could also post the snapshot it would certainly aid the analysis.
Just seeing how people are using the machine is much appreciated.
You won’t see a lot here, because I created a new empty session to make sure it’s not some interference with other chains. Also you see a lot of hesitation in how to create the first chain and then again when trying to save a new snapshot (took some time to remember that new snapshot is not (as in preset saving) when long pressing on the current snapshot.
I was fixing some issues with the new MIDI-learn Value Range configuration. It should work better now, including refreshing on-the-fly when changing ZS3s.
The controller range problem seems solved thanks for the super quick fix !
But the “midi controller” first page parameter issue (the one I opened this topic for) seems still as is. The removed controller on that first parameter page gets back in business after reloading the snapshot. Anyway I find it fantastic that there is even the possibility to have control on that with the zynthian!
Edit : after more testing there is still a problem with saving or restoring the controller mapping ranges as well. Min and max, for example, get sometimes inverted after restoring a zs3 and I cannot figure out exactly when and how.
