Hello, I want to create themes with Zynthian, but the truth is that I am very lost, I come from interfaces like FL Studio Mobile, to create a song should I do it in parts or can it be created in one Part?
Hmmm… I am afraid that the FL workflow your are used to might differ considerably, from the structure of operations of the Zynthian GUI, except (maybe, just maybe) the Zynpad view.
I suggest that you read through the wiki carefully beforehand, because Zynthian is pretty much a mature product and a powerful music workstation, but not exactly a device that you switch on and begin instantly exploiting to the full, without a bit of a learning curve.
The Z Is a clever and wonderful machine, but it likes to do almost everything in its own signature way
Best regards!
Furthermore @SYNTHFHZ, as a personal advice, do not expect the Zynthian to solve creative problems for you. It is very much a musician’s tool, and a rather sophisticated one. So no shortcuts of sort to get a track done in less than a hour: if you expect this, I recommend you look elsewhere.
The Z requires dedication and a trained musical mindset, even if one plans to use it just for pattern music, wich Zynthian manages in a particularly powerful and flexible way.
Thus, in the end, don’t be fooled by its playful and slightly nerdy appearance, because it’s a complex beast, believe me!
All best regards
Hey @SYNTHFHZ, it’s funny you should ask. I have been adding some updates to the Zynseq page on the wiki. I’ve added a small tutorial for the arranger function, it’s not fully complete but you can follow along as it is now. It’s not for absolute beginners, you’ll need to understand how to navigate the zynthian interface at a minimum.
That is definitely something you could use to compose a whole song and perform it using the Zynpad interface (the one like ableton session view). Please try it and let me know if it helped (or not).
If you are looking for a linear arranger to see all your patterns and audio files like a conventional DAW, I don’t believe that’s available in Zynthian.
