I’m moving house.
“… e di nuovo cambio casa…” ( and I’m moving house again ), Ivano Fossati sings in a beautiful song, where you understand that moving house also means changing your life, hearing different noises, breathing different air. But what hurts the most is moving areas of the house that were our kingdom, Emperors of a people of musical instruments where only we felt immense pleasure and, sometimes, great frustration… But my Music starts with me… I hope to post the new music room soon. In the meantime I share with you the desolation of the dismantling…
This is the new location… Next week a bricklayer is coming to cover the walls… in the meantime I’m preparing the electrical system. At the back you can see the new workbench where I will place my iMac (the one in the photo is the old one), two displays and the rack of hardware recording tools. Only problem… to get in there is a one meter high door…
Yes, it is a little bigger than this one… Unfortunately there is a load-bearing beam that can be seen on the left of the photo posted above. The absurd thing is that in the center there are 4 meters of height… old houses built in 1920.
Can you make a trap on the floor?
You want a wheeled tray you can lie on.
Not yet! I would end up in the armchair where my mother-in-law has lived for 7 years… she is 100% disabled.
… I was thinking of two rails with a trolley that I could move with a Zynthian encoder… if @riban writes me the code…
That would need git pull and push!
You still go in and out via the tiny window ?
Yessss!
… but this morning I turned on the safety switch and… LIGHT!!!
I’m painting the walls on Monday.
So everyone who enters your kingdom must first bow reverently.
The rooks will deal with that act of diligence in their normal dismissive fashion…
Exactly… Today I connected everything and IT WORKS!!! I just need to find a suitable support for the hardware rack…
The only friend who doesn’t have to bow is my greatest Friend…
Lovely pet!
Did you perform all the room’s renovation on your own? (electrical wiring, plastering, painting and stuff?)
Adorable 32 kg “pet” … I did everything myself but I had a bricklayer friend help me position the panels and plaster. Electrical system, painting and final CLEANING, I did it myself…and all while I’m preparing for the move. “Trasloco”… makes more…
He loves the sea like me…
not bad
bravo Lanfranco!
Indeed, leaving house and moving home is a matter of spiritual transition and pivotal existential change. So, all the best to you and your loyal furry friend, for a new beginning in the new place.
In gamba, mi raccomando!
Stay strong
Thanks @piattica and @Aethermind …
