Seems to be build around the CD40106 Schmitt-Trigger. Elliot Williams wrote some time ago a great arcticle series about synthesizer builds around this chip on Hackaday: Logic Noise: Sweet, Sweet Oscillator Sounds which is both informative and fun to read.
