I finally managed to get this internet radio working by updating my Vangelis to the latest version (as of 10 minutes ago). Great (issue i had was “bokenpipe” from the logs…)
But now i have a different issue in that the UI seems to hang via VNC. Doing the long/bold push in the top left corner does nothing any more. Where i could see the bars jumping to the music a while ago, they are static now (but i still hear the stream playing).
What would be the best way to get out of this?
any way to “panic” or remove all plugins by CLI?
Restarting the unit and re-enter VNC i can see the bars moving, but as soon as i try to long-press the left/top corner, the UI freezes again.
Edit. disabled this plugin from the “engines” section in the admin-ui, but that made no difference. A reboot later and the stream still plays (but the ui is still frozen)
A few restarts and looking at the log and i see this:

Of course, i could write a new image (and the tedious work of getting all plugins reconfigured, etc) but if there is some easy way to clean the slate/remove whatever plugins are currently loaded up, then i’m all ears
Ok, disabling the “restore last state” made it stop.
But its a bit of a “shame” because the streamer is nice, as long as it doesn’t misbehave like that
So any tips on what may have gone wrong are most welcome.
Have you done an update? There was a fix for internet radio that applies a patch to allow vlc to run as root. Internet Radio is working fine for me on:
I can add an Internet Radio chain and reboot without any hangs. (There is a seperate issue with seg fault on shutdown that caused me an issue, but that is unrelated to this.)
