I can’t find anything suggesting it is, but I wanted to check before I submitted a formal feature request.
Since I already had a feature request typed up, I’ll just paste it here:
The existing options for fine control of parameters are all great for sound design and OK for performance, but I keep finding myself wishing I could dial in a value in regular coarse mode and then lock that parameter only into fine mode when I’m actually playing.
Right now you have to manually toggle the ALT button (easy to forget in a live setting, makes it impossible to play multiple parameters at the same time if some need fine control and others need coarse), press+turn (not a very natural motion, puts a unnecessary stress on the encoders as anyone who has owned any Elektron device for a few years will know), or rely on the touchscreen (no tactile feedback, can’t be performed by touch only). Being able to set a parameter to coarse or fine as needed is a small change but would
Describe the solution you’d like
Holding the ALT button (or and alternative for v4) and pressing an encoder while on a chain parameter page should toggle that parameter’s adjustment resolution between coarse and fine. This should persist in the same way that MIDI CC assignments do.
