Hi, that’s exactly what I meant. But I got the letters a little wrong, so I’m sorry. I have fixed it.
Hello, “blonde” and others dums from the same brand doesn’t sound great if you trigger the ride with a … A pad. The sound is cut then relaunch if the velocity is not the same.
It’s too bad because otherwise it could be used instead of Drumgizmo that sound reeeeeeally great but take way too much time to power on.
It’s always a matter of personal preference. I’m just trying to show you what Zynthian can do. Plus, I have a Torso T-1 hitting the pads for me. The demo is with the Blonde Bop HotRod Drumkit.
Of course it is !
And believe me that I’m happy for the work you have done here. It’s a lot of very useful informations in the same place, that were not easy to find before. ![]()
Hi again.
I’m not able anymore to have my Drumgizmo presets visible into Zynthian. My snapshot are broken too.
… And of course i’m note able to put back everything working just by remaking a preset.
Did Drumgizmo still work on your side ?
Hi,
after switching to the stable version of oram I also had to recreate all the presets.
The menu “preset” do not exist anymore… I did reboot expecting everything will come back but … Nope
But the preset is visible into VNC this time… It’s a progress ![]()
I remember having to repeat the search for presets in webcon several times.
Okay good to know thank you.
I’ve did search tree times because there is no “done” message, but it’s possible I didn’t wait as long as needed
Edit : hurray a night of sleep, an rpi on Ethernet instead of wifi, and it worked !
I was unable to run any of these - Geonkick, DrumSynth, Drum Gizmo.. the controls are there but there’s no sound to any of them. I use V5.1
These plugins are disabled by default because they need some love to get a good integration. In its current state they are almost useless.
You can use Fabla, that work great. DRMsampler also works, but it’s not so fine.
Regards,
I use Fabla, I like that it offers a compressor for every pad so I can adjust the samples and it allows me to load my own samples. Just wanted to try these.
Fabla provides a single compressor for the whole drum / sample mix plus per drum /sample controls for:
- Sample (file)
- Gain
- Pan
- Speed (sample playback speed)
- Attack
- Decay
- Sustain
- Release
There is not a per-sample compressor. You may load any audio sample onto each of its 64 pads so you are not constrained to just drum sounds.
I confess: The Last months I haven’t played my Zynthian V5 kit very much. But this weekend I made an update and found some incredible patches in Mimi-d and Dexed. Also most of the drum kits sound interesting and now my question is:
I want to use two chains with two different drum kits on one Midi channel (10). Each drum kit seems to start with a kick drum on keyboard note C2. Is there a possibility to use two kits which one starting on C2 and the second starts on C4? So I could have two or more Drumkits in one Midi channel on my keyboard? Is there a kind of easy keyboard mapping or transposing in Zynthian? Thanks for help.
Try this:
Just for easy reference, i put here this link:
Enjoy!
Sorry for my former noobish question. I have found the way by myself for all Instrument chains:
Actually it is very easy with using „Note Range & Transpose“ in the Chain Options menu.
