Nice “toy”. I loaded some DX7 preset using Dexed via PC.

Really good and it has also some effects onboard

And now also custom firmware from FM-1+VA · Baud Girl

I’m curious which hardware is inside

The AC79 chip is a low-cost, highly integrated platform combining Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Dual-Mode Bluetooth (V2.1 to V5.0) with powerful audio/video processing capabilities, featuring a dual-core 320MHz floating-point DSP.

It is so odd / funny that we are using an emulator to load presets into another emulator of a 1980’s synth. The world within we live today would perplex our younger selves.

Yes, expecially when you realise that you have a ready-to-use Dexed on Zynthian

And that’s why i started experimenting with some new OS on the FM1 (I like a lot XOX).

Anyway, creating new firmware for older instruments seems to have become a trend recently, much like software emulations of vintage hardware. Artificial intelligence plays a fundamental role in this, and we do not yet know what will be possible in the future.
