Mapping Midi devices together and midi audio [solved]

Hello there.

I have a Roland FP E50 and Sh4d. I would like to do 2 things.

  1. Roland FP E50 Piano only has usb (no midi in/out). How can I use zynthian to midi map the fp e50 piano to control the sh4d synthesizer? I have tried using the vnc patch bay to connect midi devices together but no luck. I normaly easily do with with pipewire wire the fp e50 out to sh4d in and it’s done.

  2. Both these devices output usb audio and they are both “hot plugged”. I’m using an audio chain to listen bring in the sound from the piano and it works fine. I do not see options to bring in audio from the sh4d. Is this a driver thing or there’s a setup I’m missing?

I’m very new to zynthian and I tried to looks things up but no luck.

To send MIDI from the fp e50 to the sh4d,

  • Add a MIDI chain with no effects.
  • Bold SELECT the chain to show the chain options.
  • Use the MIDI Inputs option to select the fp e50 only.
  • use the MIID Output option to select the sh4d only.

Do you see the sh4d listed in the Audio Inputs option of the audio chain’s Chain Options menu?

I will check again, but I have not seen in the audio input.

Adding the midi chain worked! Thanks!
