Although it’s not fully implemented like described by riban’s request, i’ve advanced quite a bit in this recent commit:
c820567
that put some sense to the layer routing feature.
Now you can create a pure FX-chain layer and use it as Master FX Bus, routing the output of other layers to the first element (or any) of this “Master FX Layer”.
Simply update and enjoy!!

Please make two sending FX buses, with individual send adjustment for each instruments layers. This will significantly save processor resources.
Can’t this already be done with creating fx layers?
You can create as many FX buses as you want. For having “send” control, currently you should put a “gain” as last element on every layer chain.
