MIDI keyboard via USB

Just got my Zynthian 4 kit and have assembled most of it but not installed the software yet. Gonna be fun when it’s up and running! (Well actually assembling and installing is fun too :slight_smile:)

My first question:
I have an old MIDI keyboard that can talk MIDI via USB or DIN in/out. Is USB preferred?

It can also be powered via USB (max 3.6 W), would that work from the raspberry? I bought the kit with the official power supply.

Both are okay. With the official rapsberryPi power supply you shouldn’t suffer from power issues and then will be able to power your keyboard through Usb. (less cables, less power block).
