MOD-UI on Vangelis 2610

Hi! Could you please tell me if MOD-UI is compatible with Vangelis 2610 on Zynthian v5?
After adding a chain with MOD-UI, the interface stops working, and I’m seeing these errors:

Oct 20 11:30:57 zynthian systemd[1]: mod-ui.service: Failed with result ‘exit-code’.
Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian systemd[1]: mod-ui.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 29.
Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian systemd[1]: Started mod-ui.service - MOD-UI.
Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian mod-ui.sh[8400]: WARN: Missing file /zynthian/zynthian-sw/mod-ui/data/mod_api_key.pub with the public API KEY
Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian mod-ui.sh[8400]: Traceback (most recent call last):

Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian mod-ui.sh[8400]: File “/zynthian/zynthian-sw/mod-ui/mod/webserver.py”, line 31, in

Oct 20 11:30:59 zynthian mod-ui.sh[8400]: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘tornado’

Ups!! I totally forgot about MOD-UI.

You could say not, it’s not supported in Vangelis, at least currently.

I would take a look and fix it if it’s not too complex, but don’t expect too much support from developers.

Regards

Mod-ui should no longer be required. There is (almost) nothing that you can do in mod that you can’t also do with zynthian chains, hence we did not validate its functionality. I guess something broke in Trixie. Maybe we should drop it now?

Good afternoon!
I see, thanks! I don’t actually have any need for it, though )

Good afternoon,

even it is already a week congratulations to everyone for the great Vangelis release! For a simple layman it is incredible how intuitive Zynthian has become over the last years!

With respect to MOD-UI:

I recently happened to test Moony for pure curiosity (build a non linear cc2 scaler for my EWI) and if my memory doesn’t fail me C1A1xC1A1 in my old V4 /Oram/ MOD-UI showed a usable knob, whereas for the normal Zynthian on V5/Vangelis I needed to use C2A1 for one, and C4A1 to get three knobs to parametrize e.g. the CC2 response curve. Not a problem, just an observation. (Used Patchage to link Moony in Vangelis, not sure about MOD-UI.)

Kind regards,

Ernst
