More native GUIs! Calf plugins, amsynth, triceratops, setBfree,

Perhaps some of you noted that the native GUIs (VNC) of Calf plugins are not working in Oram. This is due to the deprecation of Gtk2 libraries. I recently discovered that the master of coders, @falkTX, have developed a “patch” that kind of fix the problem, at less for a time:

It’s kind of black magic, but it works, so i’ve pushed this to vangelis. The bad is that parameter updating is not working anyway between zynthian UI <=> native GUI. Anyway, it’s better than not having a native GUI.

Of course, this would also “fix” other plugins with obsolete Gtk2-based native GUIs.

Enjoy!

I noticed yesterday that there seems to be some activity in the Calf repo again. Hopefully they’ll be properly fixed.

I just noted that native GUIs for amsynth and triceratops are broken in Oram too. Luckily, the GTK bridge works for them too:

It’s fixed in vangelis

Enjoy!

And finally, yes, what you, tonewheel organ freaks, were waiting for!! The setBfree native GUI, one of my all-time-favorite GUIs and (i don’t know why!!) missing in zynthian until now:

Enjoy one of the most nerdy and beautifully hand-crafted GUIs you have seen for a soft-synth! I love you both, Fredrik Kilander & Robin Gareus!!

Check the available key commands by clicking the “?” symbol. And don’t forget to try the “shift+space” key combination !!

The best!
