Is it necessary to reflash or is it enough to update previous Oram?
I updated Oram Stable without a glitch, on two devices
I tried to reflash “2025-05-30-zynthianos-oram-stable-2505.img.xz” and i only get the ERROR screen on boot.
I then reflashed “zynthianos-last-stable.img.xz” and its working just fine
I am running a V4 vanilla kit with no mods.
Is there anything i am doing wrong or have to address to get the new one working ?
Hi, are you flashing with Pi Imager?
Please, be aware that Balena Etcher is now officially deprecated. Further to this, I would suggest changing your mSD media altogether. Good luck!

I am on OSX 15.5 using PI flasher.
The SD card works fine…always did…and as i said the older image also works fine.
@jofemodo I edited the image… now it’s perfect… check!!!
Ok, no i am really confused…
I downloaded two files, and maybe the content is the same the file names are different.
The byte count is identical though…well, i think i am good then
Weird is only that i can’t find the new Tal-U-NO…in the list of synths…
Do i need to run the config tool first ?
Ok, got it…but it comes with a funny overlay…and that also shows up in the synth description in the hardware after activating it.

Not all engines have had their description entered. Only the ones that are enabled by default. We need someone to write these descriptions, etc.

I noticed that the last line sais “restarting web interface” without concluding.
So could one potential improvement in this be a concluding line in the log shown during the update process? Something like “Update successful, you may now reboot the system / leave this page.”?

That’s the issue I always wanted to post in here but always forget.
It’s weird for it to just say that and most time it does not restart zynthian. I only saw it happened maybe once or twice. I think adding an update successful or something helpful will help a lot.
This is a late reply, but might be useful for others.
Flawless successful update from webconf on V5.1 kit.
On V2 Kit, I got webconf update stalling during fabla update and had to reflash.
I had similar behaviour on last major updates i did (e.g. 2502), I suspect V2 resources may be limiting the process somehow.
